With over 20 years of experience in leading multi-unit and omnichannel retail and food service companies, Maria is recognized for her transformational work with renowned brands such as Krispy Kreme, Darden Restaurants, TGI Friday’s, and The Walt Disney Company. Known for simplifying complex issues and building strong organizations, Maria brings a unique perspective in reimagining brands in a rapidly changing consumer landscape.

Don Crocker, Chief Development Officer, is leading the rapid growth strategy for Smalls Sliders, focusing on transforming the brand into a major player in the QSR industry through talent development, collaboration, and strong franchisee relationships. With over 30 years of experience, including 21 years at Chick-fil-A where he expanded the brand nationally and grew sales from $600 million to $10 billion, Don has a proven track record of driving growth. Before Smalls Sliders, he led domestic franchise and company development for Inspire Brands, overseeing 32,000 locations across well-known brands like Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Dunkin’. His expertise in building high-performing teams has been key to consistently driving brand expansion and franchisee success.

Casey Halbach, Chief People Officer, leads the People Services organization, bringing more than 20 years of people leadership across the food service industry. Partnering closely with the CEO, Board, and executive team, Casey’s developed a scalable people model that prioritizes agility, efficiency, and a dynamic talent approach—key elements in driving the company’s 3x (and counting) people growth. Casey’s approach includes establishing crucial milestones through collaboration, fostering innovation, and disrupting traditional human resources, organizational design, and talent management approaches. Her role has been pivotal in building foundational programs, including total rewards programs and a multi-year capability architecture model, to support the company’s long-term success by engaging and motivating its people.
